Rossmann Santa running is going to be held for the second time on Sunday. The participants can take on the 2.3km distance in Santa Claus outfit. The organizer BSI and Rossmann also organize charity collection on the spot, magyarhirlap.hu wrote.
Welcoming the winter with Santa Claus running is becoming more and more popular in the world. The organizers of Budapest Sports Bureau (BSI) dress everyone in Santa Claus clothes who would like to run through 2.3km in a red cap, robe and white beard. The Santa Claus dress is provided by the BSI for all runners. Last year, 2600 Santa Claus-dressed people swarmed Vaci Street, surprising bystanders and workers, because that was the first Santa Claus run.
The Sunday event starts from Sohaz Street (next to the Corvinus University) and comes back to Fovam Square. The run starts in two races at 13:00 and 15:00 on December 6.
According to magyarhirlap.hu, the warm-up for Santa Claus will be led by fitness world champion Alexandra Beres, who will also take up red robes with her family. Kolompos concert and petting zoo will complete the program for the children. Just as last year, BSI and Rossmann organize a charity collection (toys, school supplies, stationery) for the AGOTA Foundation, which you can read about at www.futanet.hu.
The running route is the following: Sohaz Street – Fovam Square – Vaci Street – Iranyi Street – Marcius 15 Square – Petofi Square Exit – Pest lower quay (to the south) – Fovam Square.
